Quick Actions Menu

In this article, we explain how to access the Quick Actions Menu and how the various quick action features work

Updated over 8 months ago

The Quick Actions Menu allows you to easily access a set of different Typewise features, simply by selecting text. This way, you can benefit from Typewise beyond the actual writing of messages.

1. How do I access the Quick Actions Menu?

Simply select the text you want a quick action to be applied to. Once you selected the text, the Quick Actions Menu will appear next to or below the selection. You can now choose which of the different features you would like to apply, e.g. summarize.

At the moment, the Quick Actions Menu will work for any text within your CRM/Ticketing system. It can be especially useful for incoming tickets or already sent tickets.

2. What features are available in the Quick Actions Menu?

At the moment, there are three different features available in the Menu:

  • Summarize

  • Translate

  • Optimize

Feature availability might vary, depending on the individual configurations done by your system admin.

Summarize

The summarize feature allows you to quickly summarize large amounts of text. This might be used to summarize a lengthy customer enquiry or a past conversation history.

Simply select all the text you want to have summarized and click the summarize function in the Quick Actions Menu. The summary will appear in the default language of your internet browser. However, you can always change the language by simply opening the language drop-down at the top of the summary box. The summary box can be moved with the mouse to any location and remains open until you click on the cancel sign at the top right of the box.

Translate

The translation feature allows you to translate any text, not only the text you have written but also incoming customer messages or any other text. Simply select the text you want to translate and click on the Translate function in the Quick Actions Menu. The translation will appear in the default language of your internet browser. However, you can always change the language by simply opening the language drop-down at the top of the box. The box can be moved with the mouse to any location and remains open until you click on the cancel sign at the top right of the box.

If you want to translate a self-written message before sending it, follow the same steps. The only difference is that the translated text will appear directly in your text field and not in a separate box.

Optimize

The optimize feature allows you to optimize your message before sending it. Once you have finished writing your message, select the entire message and click on Optimize in the Quick Actions Menu. Typewise will now check your message and optimize it based on communication rules that your system admin has defined. By clicking undo, you can always revert the optimization and go back to your originally written message.
