Typewise helps users through spelling and grammar corrections. There are two types of underlining that Typewise applies to your text.
Red underlines: Typewise detected that the word might contain an error or is not inside the company dictionary.
Blue underlines: Typewise has corrected a spelling or grammar mistake automatically.
Red Underlines
When Typewise encounters a word or sequence that seems incorrect without complete certainty, it underlines it with a distinct red color. This underline acts as a visual cue for the writer, signaling that the system has identified a possible error within the text. By clicking on the red underline, a popup window emerges, as shown in the image below. Within this popup window, Typewise provides several suggestions for correction.
The user is given two main methods to select the preferred suggestion. The first method involves a simple click on the suggestion will replace the underlined text with the chosen correction. The second method uses the specific keys that are displayed to the right of each suggestion. Pressing the corresponding key instantly selects the suggestion, replacing the original text.
At times, Typewise might flag a word as incorrect, even if the user knows it to be valid. For instance, specialised terms or acronyms like "DSRP" may not initially be recognised. If the user wishes to ensure that this word is not flagged for correction in the future, there's a simple solution. By clicking on the “Never correct DSRP” button, the system will learn and adapt.
Blue Underlines
Blue underlines appear when Typewise is sure of a correction. In this case Typewise automatically replaces the text to what was entered by the user. By clicking on the underline it is possible either to confirm the correction or not to accept the correction and return to the previously entered word. Again, it is possible to add the word to the dictionary if needed through the appropriate button.
